Water Usage (Water Usage Charge/CCF): The charge for actual amount of water used, calculated by multiplying the water rate by the total number of units of water registered on your water meter. One unit of water is equal to 100 cubic feet (1 CCF), or 748 gallons of water.

Water Svc (Monthly Water Service Charge): A monthly charge for services such as maintaining meters, processing bills, posting payments and repairing water mains, based on the size of a customer's meter.

Zone Pump Chg (Zone Pumping Charge / CCF): A monthly charge to cover the additional cost of pumping water up to the higher elevation homes. The charge is based on water usage in units. One unit of water is equal to 100 cubic feet (1 CCF), or 748 gallons of water.

Sewer Svc (Monthly Sewer Service Charge): A monthly charge used for costs of collecting, transporting, treating, and disposing of customer's wastewater, and maintenance of sewer treatment facilities and collection systems.

Readiness-to-serve (RTS) Charge. Metropolitan Water District requires all member agencies to pay a readiness-to-serve charge calculated from water purchase levels. As a member TVWD will pass through this charge to its customers.

Late Charge: Bills are due and payable upon the Due Date. Payments are posted on the date they are received in the district office, not the date post-marked. A late charge of 10% will be applied to all unpaid account balances carried forward to next billing date. All remaining unpaid balances will continue to receive 1.5% monthly interest charges.

Return Check Charge: A charge of $10.00 will be assessed on all checks returned to the District due to non-sufficient funds. For any customer who has two or more checks in a 12-month period a $20.00 charge will be assessed. The customer may be asked to replace any returned check with cash or money order.

Reconnection Fee: If service is terminated due to non-payment of past due charges, a $40.00 reconnection fee will be charged to reestablish service. If the customer requests reconnection after 10:00 pm on weekdays or on weekends and/or holidays, the reconnection fee is $100.00. If service is terminated two or more times in a 6 month period a $100.00 reconnection fee will be charged to reestablish service. If the customer requests reconnection after 10:00 pm on weekdays or on weekends and/or holidays, the reconnection fee is $250.00. The account must be brought to a zero balance and the reconnection fee is to be paid prior to turn-on of the water service.

Set-up Fee: A $10.00 set-up fee will be charged to establish service for a new customer.

Deposit Fee: All renters (or non-owners) are required to pay a deposit to set-up new service. Call for details. A deposit will be required of customers who have been turned off for lack of payment two or more times in a 12 month period.

Meter Reading Periods: Meters are read monthly.

UNPAID CLOSING BILLS MAY BE GIVEN TO A CREDIT REPORTING AGENCY.
